Robofest 2021

Advantage Academy will be hosting Robofest on Saturday May 1st from 9:00-3:00.

The following events will be available:
Jr. Exhibition
Jr. Bottle Sumo
Jr. Robo Arts
Robot Drawing Contest

Robofest is a festival of competitions and events with autonomous robots that encourages students to have fun while learning principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and Computer Science. Students design, construct, and program the robots. Any robotics kits are allowed in the construction of robots. Robots can be programmed with any programming language. Robofest programs support Computer Science for All.

Since 1999, over 29,000 students have competed in Robofest, including teams from 18 United States and the countries of Brazil, CanadaChina, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, England, France, GhanaGreeceHong Kong, Hungary, IndiaKenyaLebanon, Macau, Malawi, Mexico, Morocco, NigeriaPhilippinesSaudi Arabia, Singapore, South AfricaSouth KoreaTaiwan, and UAE.

    Congratulations to everyone who participated in Robofest!

    The “Bob Ross” team from Pinellas Academy of Math and Science took first place in the Jr. Bottle Sumo!

    “Team WallE” from Advantage Academy took second place in the Jr. Bottle Sumo!

    “Python Pirates” from Sunlake Academy took first place in the Jr. Exhibition competition.

    Cameron finished 1st in the Robot Drawing Contest and Callie finished 2nd in the Robot Drawing Contest.

    Congratulation everyone and looking forward to more Robofest fun next school year!
